E-commerce development_

DevDino builds e-commerce stores on Shopify, Shopify Plus and WooCommerce, and custom stores and marketplaces when a template cannot do the job. We connect the store to your payment gateway, product catalogue and back office, so orders flow without anyone retyping them. From Toronto and Tel Aviv, we have built stores for an international grill brand, a farm selling direct to homes, and Camp.com.

What we build_

01_

Shopify and Shopify Plus

Store builds plus Shopify API work that goes beyond the theme. Burn Hard's international grill store runs on Shopify; Camp.com's White Elephant is built on Shopify Plus.

02_

WooCommerce on WordPress

When content and commerce share one site, WooCommerce keeps them in one admin. Meshek Meller sells farm produce direct to homes all over Israel this way.

03_

Custom stores

For rules no theme can handle. iGift is a custom store for employee holiday gifts, designed and built around the client's very specific requirements.

04_

Marketplaces

Platforms where buyers and sellers meet. WatchCash covers the whole used-watch deal: negotiation, mail delivery, payment gateway and API integrations.

05_

Bookings and back office

Stores that sell time, not boxes. Escape Show takes bookings for virtual escape rooms, and its operations run on a back office we built for it.

06_

Integrations

Payment gateways, shipping, CRMs, product catalogues and supplier APIs, connected so stock, orders and customers stay in sync.

Sounds familiar?_

  • Your store platform says no to the one feature your business model depends on.
  • Orders get copied into another system by hand, and mistakes ship with them.
  • Buyers drop out at checkout, and you are not sure where or why.
  • You want to sell through an event, a game or a marketplace, not just a product grid.
  • Your biggest sales days are also the days you worry most about the site.

How e-commerce development works with Dino_

A store is a website with consequences. Every slow page, broken discount or order that has to be retyped costs you money you can count. We build stores that sell, and we wire them into the systems that fulfil the order.

Which platform, and when

Platform Choose it when Our example
Shopify You want a reliable store without running servers Burn Hard, an international grill brand
Shopify Plus The store is large or needs deep API work White Elephant for Camp.com
WooCommerce Content and commerce share one WordPress site Meshek Meller, farm produce sold direct to homes
Custom store Your way of selling breaks every standard checkout iGift, employee holiday gifts
Marketplace Buyers and sellers both use the platform WatchCash, used watches

There is no prize for picking the most complex option. We recommend the simplest platform that does what you need, and explain why in writing.

Case study: Camp.com White Elephant

For Camp.com we built White Elephant, a virtual gift exchange game connected to Camp.com’s product catalogue through Shopify. Users schedule an event, invite guests, buy gifts, play, and have the gift they won delivered straight to them. It is built with Angular and NodeJS on Shopify Plus.

The result: it consistently generated significant weekend revenue, in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, and was recognised as a success story at a global convention on the future of retail. The lesson for any store is that a better way to buy can matter more than a better product page.

Stores that do more than sell boxes

Not every store fits a cart and a checkout:

  • Escape Show sells virtual escape room games. Customers book through a client-facing booking interface, and the team runs everything from a back office we built for its day-to-day operations.
  • Bradford Skin Clinic, a Canadian skin clinic and med spa, takes appointment bookings and sells skin products online from the same site, with a blog alongside.
  • iGift needed a custom store because its requirements were too specific for an off-the-shelf one.

The integration work nobody sees

The visible store is often the smaller part of the job. The rest is the plumbing: payment gateways, shipping and delivery, product catalogues, stock, CRMs and supplier APIs. WatchCash is a good example: one platform handles negotiation, mail delivery, the payment gateway and several API integrations, so a deal goes from offer to payment without anyone stepping outside the system.

If your customer data needs more than the store’s built-in tools, see CRM development. If the store is part of a bigger site, see website development, and for launch campaigns, digital campaigns.

Choosing an e-commerce development partner

Ask any agency three things: show me a live store you built, show me an integration you built behind one, and tell me what you do on my busiest day. We have offices in Toronto and Tel Aviv, and one team behind both. Our name may be Dino, but your checkout will not feel prehistoric.

Tell us what you sell and how you sell it, and we will tell you which platform we would build on.

How we work_

  1. Commerce audit

Products, pricing rules, payments, shipping and the systems every order must reach. This decides the platform.

  2. Platform choice

Shopify, WooCommerce or custom, chosen on your catalogue, rules and growth plans, with the reasons in writing.

  3. Build and integrate

Store, checkout and integrations on staging, with your real products and your real payment flows.

  4. Test every order path

Test orders through each payment, shipping and refund path before a real customer sees the store.

  5. Launch and improve

Go-live, analytics on the funnel, then changes driven by where buyers actually drop off.

Questions people ask us_

Should we build on Shopify, WooCommerce or custom?

Shopify suits most brands that want a reliable store without running servers, and Shopify Plus adds room for bigger operations and deeper API work. WooCommerce suits sites where content and commerce live together on WordPress. Go custom when the way you sell (a marketplace, a gift exchange, corporate ordering) does not fit any platform's checkout.

How much does e-commerce development cost?

The platform matters less than people expect. Cost is driven by catalogue size and complexity, custom checkout or pricing rules, the number of integrations (payments, shipping, CRM, back office) and data migration from your current store. We scope those first, then quote the work.

Can you connect the store to our payment gateway and back office?

Yes, that is most of the real work. WatchCash runs on a payment gateway, API and end-point integrations, and Escape Show runs on a back office we built for its operations.

Can you migrate our existing store?

Yes. We move products, customers and order history, map old URLs to new ones so you keep your search rankings, and test checkout end to end before switching over.

Do you build marketplaces?

Yes. WatchCash is a one-stop platform for buying and selling used watches, covering negotiation, delivery and payment. Marketplaces need trust built in from day one: who pays when, who ships, and what happens when a deal goes wrong.

Do you work with stores outside Canada and Israel?

Yes. We have offices in Toronto and Tel Aviv and have delivered projects for clients in Israel, Canada, the USA, Europe and Australia.
