Game, AR and VR development_

We do game, AR and VR development for media companies, brands and startups: Unity mobile games, browser games embedded in busy websites, AR promotions and VR experiences. You get a game people actually play, plus the admin panel, analytics and back end your team needs to keep it alive after launch.

What we build_

Games and immersive experiences, from the first prototype to the content tools behind them.

01_

Unity mobile games

iOS and Android games built in Unity, from word puzzles to rhythm games, with push notifications and game analytics wired in from day one.

02_

Browser games for big sites

Web versions of your game that embed inside a news or brand site and hold up when the audience arrives all at once.

03_

AR promotions

Augmented reality mobile games that put a TV show, product or brand character into the player's surroundings.

04_

VR experiences

Virtual reality games and simulations, including health and training uses where the experience has a real job to do.

05_

Live and fantasy games

Fantasy leagues and live-event games that score players in real time from live data feeds and handle traffic spikes during matches.

06_

Admin panels and level tools

Custom management systems so your editors add levels, songs, questions and prizes without waiting for a developer.

Sounds familiar?_

  • You need a game for a TV show, campaign or product launch, and the date is not moving.
  • Your last game launched well, then went stale because nobody could add new content.
  • You have a VR or AR idea and want engineers who have shipped one, not a slide deck.
  • Your live game slows down exactly when the match, the vote or the finale starts.
  • You want one team for the game, the back office and the website it lives on.

How game, AR and VR development works with Dino_

Most games are not hard to start. They are hard to finish, launch on the right day and keep alive afterwards. We build the game and everything around it: the admin panel your editors use, the analytics that show what players do, and the back end that holds when the audience shows up.

Games for media, brands and startups

A lot of our game work started with Israeli media. Keshet and DevDino have worked together for over five years, and the Keshet use case shows the range: the Pop Pop rhythm game (a Unity mobile game with a song management system, push notifications, Game Analytics and YouTube integration), the Brain 12 word puzzle app, and an AR Ninja puzzle.

The same thinking works for brands. KidHQ let kids explore floors of Walmart toys in an interactive video built on Eko’s platform, then turned their wishlist into a Walmart.com shopping list for their parents. That campaign won a Telly Award, and the full story is in the Walmart use case.

For startups, games are often the product itself. Escape Show needed a site for booking virtual escape room games, with a back office to run the business. Hop! Channel needed games, video and a paid subscription in one children’s site, with an admin panel built in ASP.NET MVC and Angular.

Mobile, browser or both

Unity for mobile and web

When a game needs to run on iOS, Android and inside a website, Unity usually gives the best return on one codebase. Brain 12 shipped as a mobile app and as a web version embedded in the Mako and N12 sites, with a level generator so admins keep adding puzzles.

Browser-first activities

Some ideas work best as a quick web activity people reach from an article or a social post. King Mako used Google Street View and Google Maps to drop players somewhere in Israel and ask them to pin where they landed, with a custom admin panel behind it.

Live, data-driven games

Fantasy sports live or die on live data. For the Sport5 fantasy league we rebuilt the platform so goals, assists and clean sheets turn into points in real time, during the minutes when everyone is checking their team.

AR and VR that do a job

AR works when it puts something people already care about in their hands. NinjaPop AR was an AR mobile game Keshet 12 used to promote Israel Ninja Warrior.

VR earns its place when presence matters. 6 Degrees is a VR game we designed and developed to help people deal with phantom pain after a limb amputation. It is a good example of how we approach immersive work: start from what the user needs to feel or practise, then choose the hardware and the interaction.

What to look for in a game studio

  • Shipped games, not concept art. Ask to play something the team has launched.
  • Content tools. If your team cannot add levels, questions or prizes without a developer, the game ages fast.
  • Analytics from day one. You want to know where players drop off before you spend on the next season.
  • Back-end experience. Payments, subscriptions, CRM hooks and traffic spikes are software problems, not game design problems.
  • One team for the whole thing. Game, website, admin panel and campaign landing page work better when they are built together.

We also design the screens and flows ourselves through our UX and UI design team, and when a game is part of a wider campaign, see interactive digital campaigns. For apps that are not games, see mobile app development.

How we work_

  1. Concept

We agree the core loop, the platforms and the content your team will need to add after launch.

  2. Playable prototype

A rough but playable build early, so you judge the fun with your hands, not on paper.

  3. Production

Art, levels, sound, the admin panel and analytics, built in short cycles you can play along the way.

  4. Launch

Store submission, web embeds and load checks timed to your show, campaign or event.

  5. Live ops

New levels, seasons and fixes after launch, with analytics telling us what players actually do.

Questions people ask us_

Do you build games in Unity?

Yes. Brain 12 and the Pop Pop rhythm game for Mako were built in Unity, and Brain 12 also has a web version embedded in the Mako and N12 websites. We pick the engine for the platforms you need, and for mobile plus web that is often Unity.

Can your game run inside our website as well as in the app stores?

Yes. We have built browser games and interactive activities that live inside large media sites, such as King Mako for Keshet, which drops players into Google Street View and asks them to find themselves on the map.

Can our team add new levels or content after launch?

That is how we build them. Brain 12 has a custom level generator for its admins, and Pop Pop has a management system for updating songs. A game without a content tool gets old fast.

Do you build AR and VR, or only mobile games?

Both. NinjaPop AR is an AR mobile game Keshet 12 used to promote Israel Ninja Warrior, and 6 Degrees is a VR game we designed and developed to help people deal with phantom limb pain.

What drives the cost of a game?

The number of platforms, the amount of art and animation, how much content ships at launch, live data or multiplayer features, and the tools your team needs to run it afterwards. We scope these with you before we quote, so you can choose what goes into version one.

Can a live game handle a big audience at once?

It has to be designed for it. For the Sport5 fantasy league we re-architected the platform to score players in real time from live data during matches, when traffic peaks.
