Mobile app development_

DevDino is a mobile app development company with offices in Toronto and Tel Aviv. We build iOS, Android and cross-platform apps, Unity-based apps and web apps, together with the admin panel, push notifications and analytics that keep an app useful after launch day. Clients include Sheba Medical Center and Keshet 12.

What we build_

01_

iOS and Android apps

Apps for both stores, from the first screen to the store listing. Brain 12, the Unity word puzzle we built, runs on iOS and Android.

02_

Cross-platform apps

One codebase for both platforms when the app allows it, and native work where performance or device features demand it.

03_

Unity-based apps

Games and rich interactive apps built in Unity. Pop Pop, a mobile rhythm game for Mako, and Brain 12 are both built in Unity.

04_

Web apps

When an app store is a barrier, a web app runs in the browser. Sheba Medical Center got both: a web app and a mobile app.

05_

Admin and back office

Every app needs a control room. Brain 12 has a level generator so admins keep adding levels; Pop Pop has an ASP.NET MVC system for updating songs.

06_

Push and analytics

Push notifications and analytics wired in from the start, so you can bring users back and see what they do. Pop Pop runs on both.

Sounds familiar?_

  • You have an app idea and need to know what version one should include, and what can wait.
  • You are not sure whether you need a native app, a cross-platform app or a web app.
  • Your app launched, and nobody can update its content without a new release.
  • Users install the app, open it once and never come back.
  • Your previous app vendor is gone, and nobody knows how the code works.

How mobile app development works with Dino_

An app is a product, not a project. It needs a reason to exist on a home screen, a way for your team to update it, and data that tells you whether anyone uses it. We build all three.

Native, cross-platform, Unity or web app?

The first decision shapes everything after it:

Option Best for Example
Native iOS and Android Heavy device use, top performance Apps that rely on the camera, sensors or offline use
Cross-platform Business, content and form-based apps One codebase, both stores
Unity Games, AR and rich interaction Brain 12, Pop Pop, NinjaPop AR
Web app Occasional use, no install needed Sheba Medical Center, alongside its mobile app

If you are still deciding, start with our guide on what to settle before you build an app.

Apps we have built

Sheba Medical Center. A web app and a mobile app around vertigo for Sheba Medical Center. On our own project page we called it “meant for saving a life”, and we still think that is the best way to describe it.

Brain 12. A word puzzle game built in Unity for iOS and Android, with a web version embedded in the Mako and N12 sites. A custom level generator lets the admins keep adding levels and content without a new release.

NinjaPop AR. An augmented reality mobile game for Keshet 12, used to promote the TV show Israel Ninja Warrior. More AR and game work is on games, AR and VR.

Pop Pop. A mobile rhythm game for Mako, in the spirit of Guitar Hero but played with your fingers. We did the full development: a Unity game, an ASP.NET MVC management system for updating songs, push notifications, Game Analytics and YouTube integration for the videos. The full story is in the Keshet use case.

Wiser. A business management platform shaped around the hospitality sector, built to make complex processes simple for the people running the business.

The app is half of it

The part users never see decides whether an app lasts:

  • Admin panel. Your team adds content, levels, songs or products without waiting for a store release.
  • Push notifications. Bring users back with messages they actually want, segmented by behaviour.
  • Analytics. Know which screens people use and where they leave, so the next release fixes the right thing.
  • APIs and backend. The services the app talks to, built and hosted with the same care as the app. When the backend is a full system in itself, see custom software development.

Good apps also start with good screens. Our UX/UI design team designs flows that are tested on a phone before they are built.

Choosing an app development company

Whether you search for an app development company in Toronto or app development in Israel, ask to see apps that are live in the stores, ask who updates the content after launch, and ask what the analytics showed after release. We have offices in Toronto and Tel Aviv, and Hebrew readers can see פיתוח אפליקציות. Our name is Dino, but your app will not feel like a fossil.

Tell us the app you have in mind, and we will tell you what we would put in version one.

Work that proves it_

Real projects for real clients. Open one for the details.

// 05

How we work_

  1. Product scope

Who uses it, what version one must do, and what can wait. Written down before any design.

  2. Prototype

Clickable screens on a real phone, so you test the flow before we build it.

  3. Build

App, admin panel and APIs built together, with test builds on your own device as we go.

  4. Store launch

Store listings, review submission, push and analytics ready before launch day.

  5. Grow

New content, push campaigns and releases driven by what the analytics show.

Questions people ask us_

How much does it cost to build an app?

It depends on the platforms (iOS, Android, web), the number of screens and user roles, the backend and admin the app needs, integrations, and features such as AR or real-time data. We scope those first, then quote the work. Our guide before you build an app covers what to decide first.

How long does it take to develop a mobile app?

A focused first version ships much sooner than an app that tries to do everything. We plan an initial release with the features users need most, then add the rest based on real usage. You get a timeline with the scope.

Native or cross-platform?

Cross-platform is often the right call for content, forms and business apps, because one codebase serves both stores. Native or Unity work makes sense for games, AR and anything that pushes the device hard. We recommend one per project and explain why.

Do I need a mobile app or a web app?

If users come back often, need push notifications or use the camera and other device features, an app earns its place. If they visit occasionally, a web app can do the job without an install. For Sheba Medical Center we built both.

Do you publish the app to the App Store and Google Play?

Yes. We prepare the store listings, handle the review submissions and set up analytics and push notifications before launch, then support updates after it.

Who maintains the app after launch?

We can. An app needs OS updates, fixes and new content to stay alive. Keshet and DevDino have worked together for more than five years, across mobile games, AR and live data projects.

Are you an app development company in Toronto or in Israel?

Both. We have offices in Toronto and Tel Aviv, and we have delivered projects for clients in Israel, Canada, the USA, Europe and Australia.
